When Bigfoot Attacks

I’m kinda a misanthrope. I tend to hate my fellow human beings. I tend to love INDIVIDUALS, but when we’re talking about the nameless, faceless masses, yeah, that’s a different story. Things people do, common human behavior, tends to sicken me. Case in point, I despise the typical, knee-jerk human reaction towards violence. When your average person sees something unusual, something that frightens him, his first instinct is to shoot it, to kill it. No matter that the “thing” has done nothing, short of existing, to appear threatening, and is often as surprised as the human himself at the unexpected encounter. I am firmly convinced that 99% or more of the time, when a cryptid is encountered, the cryptid means no harm to the person doing the encountering. I am confident in saying this because, 99% of the time, if the creature, whatever it might be, had wanted to hurt the person, it could have easily done so. 99% of the time, the creature just wants to be left alone.

There are exceptions to every rule, however. Here are some frightening accounts of incidents in which a Bigfoot-type creature DID seem to intend to do harm to someone. In the most infamous case, however, the attack on the Ape canyon cabin in California in the 1920s, the Sasquatches were provoked. The humans shot and possibly killed a Sasquatch, one that was minding its own business at the time and not bothering them in any way. So, yeah, the bastard humans had it coming, as far as I’m concerned. And if, as has been alleged, the creatures in Ape Canyon remain hostile to humans to this day–can you really blame them?
