From the linked article: “Find your way through the primeval wilderness in the center of modern Europe. It’s where the protectors of nature wage their ancient, neverending war against the forces of destruction. You play as Maia, who comes to Poland hoping to trace her family roots. She will discover her family’s dark secrets and reveal hidden truths about the last wilderness of Central Europe. Visit real-world places of mystery and power. Explore local legends and traditions. Discover the fascinating world and history of the Polish-Belarussian borderlands. Witness how nature clashes with technology and greed.” Okay. Cool. This is supposed to be like the classic role-playing game, only for the computer. It, as do all the games in the franchise, chronicles the struggles of heroic (mostly) werewolves against the evils of industrialization. Good for the werewolves for being environmentally conscious! “[This] is a modern retelling of old legends, and the fearsome man-beast becomes a rage-fuelled [sic] defender of nature itself—in the times of climate change, bushfires, plastic-filled oceans, and rapid deforestation, there is a lot to fear and precious little left to defend.”
This one from Walkabout Games should not be confused with the forthcoming “Werewolf: The Apocalypse–Earthblood” game. Check out the trailer for the former here.
