Werewolf Killed In Montana?!

This is gonna be one of those incidents where we have to wait for the DNA evidence to come in, and when it does we’re probably all gonna be disappointed. But the animal shot and killed by a rancher in Montana recently sure LOOKS weird. It doesn’t look like a wolf. It doesn’t look like a dog. To me, it resembles more than anything a baboon. (At least its head and snout resemble a baboon’s.) Could this be one of the infamous Devil Monkeys of cryptozoological lore? Probably not.

Some people are saying it’s a “dogman.” I doubt that, since I believe Dogmen are supernatural creatures, unlikely to be brought down by any human’s bullets. One interesting opinion was that it was a starving bear cub, deformed by prolonged deprivation, but it doesn’t look like a bear, either. A surviving Direwolf? The Shunka Warakin of American Indian lore? It actually does sorta resemble the supposed Shunka Warakin specimen on display at the Madison Valley History Museum in Montana, where this latest creature was killed. Could it be? I won’t get my hopes up, but it sure is an intriguing possibility.
