Peter Dukes is a director/writer/producer responsible for over a dozen short films. In his latest project, the werewolf short The Beast, Dukes gives a nod to classic Universal horror films like The Wolf Man. The Beast tells the story of a father struggling with his son’s lycanthropy. The father is faced with the difficult decision of doing what is necessary in order to free his son from his horrific circumstances.
In a recent interview with Digital Journal, Dukes discussed his latest project, The Beast.
“I wanted to make a short and high impact horror film as both a personal ode to the classic horror films of the 30′s, 40′s and 50′s as well as a reminder to many that there are many different kinds of horror out there to enjoy. This particular type of horror might not be big in the mainstream right now, but it’s a wonderful style and one I hope to see make a big comeback soon.
I also wanted to show some love to the werewolf genre, which often isn’t given quite enough credit in the horror community, overshadowed by the current titans (vampires, zombies, etc).”
The Beast stars Bill Oberst Jr., Peter Le Bas, and Alexander Le Bas.
One of the awesome things about The Beast is you can watch the full film for FREE. Hurray free things! Watch the full video below or on Youtube.
