This is one of those “catch up” posts I do from time to time. There are lots of little nuggets of information out there of the werewolf variety, none of them long enough or involved enough to warrant full articles in and of themselves, but if you put them all together you get a werewolf smorgasbord.
There’s a supposedly completed movie called simply THE WEREWOLF and starring Jim Cummings. “Terror grips a small mountain town as bodies are discovered after each full moon. Losing sleep, raising a teenage daughter, and caring for his ailing father, officer Marshall (played by Cummings) struggles to remind himself there’s no such thing as werewolves.” So goes the official synopsis. NO word yet on when or where this one will be released.
I haven’t seen HUNTER’S MOON starring Thomas Jane, but it sounds groovy to the max. “When their parents leave town, three teenage girls decide to throw a party in their new country home. But when a gang of dangerous local boys with sinister intentions turn up, the women are forced to not only defend themselves from the evil inside of the house, but an unseen bloodthirsty predator that is hunting them one by one outside of the house.” Check out the trailer here.
Lastly, Issa Lopez (writer and director of the magnificent TIGERS ARE NOT AFRAID is working with Guillermo del freakin’ Toro on a Western, with a werewolf, that is “very dark…very violent… [and] a lot of fun.” No title for this one yet, but I don’t see how it could be anything less than epic with those two involved.
