The Werewolf Attack at Lockett Ranch

William Faulkner missed out on a great story. And this one is a great story, whether or not it really happened. As is all too common in such cases, the only authentication for it seems to be found on the Internet, and not exactly on scholarly or journalistic sites, if ya read me. But it’s a good yarn, all the same.

So where did this supposedly happen, and when? Well, the narrator states right upfront that he will not reveal the location of the family property where said encounters occurred. Tends to always be the case, doesn’t it? A major red flag to any skeptic; in fact most people listening with a critical ear might well stop listening at this point. If you want to get over with the scientific community you’ve got to verify and document. We know the property is in the area of Taylor, Mississippi and belonged to a family named Lockett.

A good bit of the information the narrator gives about the area is written here. Suspiciously similar. Throw in the sound effects and the presentation of the recording, seemingly geared exclusively for entertainment, and, well, it’s hard to take it seriously. But hey, it’s a lot of fun. Listen and enjoy. Just keep some salt close at hand, not to repel evil spirits but to liberally partake of some grains, if you know what I mean (and I think ya do).

  1. I’d be curious if you have seen or know/know of someone who’s seen what you would call a UFO? You see, I was the biggest staggering skeptic the world had ever seen when it comes to this sort of thing. I’d call BS on any fantastic story such as this or any cryptid, ghost or any kind of UFO sighting–until I saw something impossible with my own eyes. Now, I’m not so quick to dismiss someone’s incredible story. There ARE things out there that we can’t explain. Believe!!!!
