That’s right, they’re a bunch of plot teases! They know how badly fans want to know what’s coming on The Vampire Diaries, yet instead of giving us any juicy details they just give lame hints. Booo! However, what little they give away in interviews makes us SO much more excited for the upcoming episodes. So here you go guys, a little taste in what’s to come via the cast of The Vampire Diaries.
Producer Julie Plec Caroline and Tyler:
“They’re gonna go through hell and back with each other.”
Julie Plec on Tyler’s werewolf transformation:
“We’ll learn a lot about the mythology and the rules of the transformation over the next two episodes before we actually see it. You’ll learn that while it gets a little bit easier the more you do it, the first time is not easy. We wanted to show [the transformation] in its entirety and really make the most of that because it’s a very, very difficult thing that Tyler is going to have to go through and we wanted the audience to be able to experience it with him for the first time. What happens after [the transformation] is going to be a big part of what happens in Mystic Falls and how our other characters get involved in Tyler’s story. A lot of secrets start to come out and it becomes very complicated after he turns.”
Candice Accola (Caroline) on where Caroline and Tyler stand:
“I think it’s a beautiful parallel for both of these characters that are kind of embarking on this new part of their lives in such an extreme supernatural way.”
Michael Trevino (Tyler) on what his character is thinking these days:
“Why does she stick around? Why is she caring for Tyler, this douchebag jock?”
Michael Trevino on Matt:
“Now we have this triangle. Tyler and what he’s going through, and what he’s going to go through, and Caroline and Matt. So for a few episodes I think there’s going to be this trio, this dynamic of questioning and wondering… You’re going to see Matt investigate some things.”
Candice Accola on Matt/Caroline:
“There are certain experiences that happen in someone’s life that bring people together that wouldn’t normally really have anything in common. And as much as you can try to relate, and try to relate, sometimes you just can’t. I think that’s going to be a big obstacle in the Caroline/Matt relationship.”
Michael Trevino on a romance between Caroline:
“I think there’s definitely this friendship that is growing between the both of them… that grows into more of a relationship…uh, that’s possible.”
See! They are horrible teases! I guess we just have to wait and see what happens in the new episode, which is on tonight!

Ok, its not that I don’t find the characters interesting (and I just confessed my guilty pleasure), but I think a new “love” would be a bit to klishee. Close friendship might be better I think.
