Teen Wolf Signed on for a Second Season!

MTV’s Teen Wolf has been such a HUGE hit that they have signed the show up for a second season! Woot! Another season packed full of werewolf-y goodness!

“We’re incredibly proud of this show. Executive producer Jeff Davis has brought an exciting, cinematic story to life with a breakout young cast who our audience has wildly embraced,” MTV’s Head of Programming, David Janollari, said in a statement.  “Picking up Teen Wolf for a second season marks another step towards the further diversification of our schedule, with this big, bold, entertaining scripted series.”

According to MTV’s announcement, about 1.7 million total viewers are tuning in to watch the series on Monday nights (10:00 p.m.) each week. The network has given the series a 12-episode order for Season 2, which should air in 2012.

For those new to the Teen Wolf:

“Scott was just a regular guy until one bite changed his life forever.

Now he struggles to understand who he is and what he might become. Is he more wolf than human – or is it the other way around? Whichever it is, it’s not going to be easy. Scott will try to control his urges, but mostly he’s scared that it’s his urges that could end up controlling him.

TEEN WOLF is the story of Scott as he tries to walk the line between what he wants and what he can’t help from wanting. Will the bite end up being a gift? Or will it be a curse? And what will it all mean for his relationship with Allison – the girl he can’t get enough of? Only time will tell if he should embrace his newfound powers, or if he should fear them.”

So how excited are you guys about a second season? I wonder if it will be as good as the first or if it will lose steam, after all, they are covering a lot of werewolf issues this season, how much can be left for season two?

  1. Look, don’t tell my friends, but I’ve enjoyed the show a lot. I’m stoked for a second season and I think the writing is solid enough they should be able to keep kicking ass as long as they keep it fresh and offbeat and don’t let it fall into the same old same old.

  2. This show is having a rockin’ start and I’m frickin’ excited! Just can’t get enough, keep it coming!
