This article from the fine folks over at iHorror talks up three movies that will, according to them, make you think twice before going camping. My first thought was, only three? And not one of them a werewolf movie? Puh-leeze! Okay, I’ll go along with THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT, sure. The other two suggestions offered by the article, MAN VS. and THE INTERIOR, I’ve never seen and so cannot accurately comment upon. But nary a mention of a single FRIDAY THE 13TH film? Not one out of the twelve? Come on!
Please, allow me to make a few suggestions. Any and all of these flicks are guaranteed to make you look at the woods in a different way. In no particular order: EXISTS. WRONG TURN. THE HOWLING. WILLOW CREEK. THE MONSTER. DELIVERANCE. THE LEGEND OF BOGGY CREEK. DOG SOLDIERS. GRIZZLY. THE GREY. HOWL. WENDIGO. YELLOWBRICK ROAD. PUMPKINHEAD. The EVIL DEAD franchise. BROTHERHOOD OF THE WOLF. THE WITCH. LAKE MUNGO. DYING BREED. Heck, even NIGHT OF THE LEPUS, CABIN IN THE WOODS and THE WATCHER IN THE WOODS qualify. And that’s just off the top of my head. See how easy it is? I bet you all can think of several that I missed, right? Feel free to pitch in.
