Space Wolves

As much as I enjoyed the recent STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER—recent it may have been, but it seems like a lifetime ago, too, doesn’t it, what with everything that’s happened since?—the more I read about the things that didn’t make it into the film the more I’m left wanting to see them. What would the movie have looked like if all those extra elements had been included? For the Space Wolves of Coruscant to have been featured in the film would’ve necessitated a complete rewrite of the ending, but I wish they’d figured out some way to work them in. Because, space wolves. What more need be said?

We can’t know exactly what the space wolves would have looked like onscreen. The concept art designs shown in the THE ART OF STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER coffee table book give us a good idea, though, which is to say, the wolves would’ve looked pretty freakin’ rad—and pretty freakin’ terrifying. And if they’d made it into the movie, chances are that we would have gotten some space wolves figures to go along with it. And a space wolf figure would have looked awfully good crouching on my bookshelf. Ah, what could have been…
