werewolf, werewolves and lycans

Anticipation is running high for the soon-to-debut second season of STRANGER THINGS. Phenomenal young actress Millie Bobby Brown introduces the latest promo clip here, and the most recent trailer is now available on Youtube. It’s looking crazy good, and the cultural saturation of STRANGER THINGS couldn’t be much greater. This show is as “over” as it’s possible to get. Not everything that comes with such saturation is a good thing, though.

Check out this bootleg Halloween costume.

Now when those PC wankers were bitchin’ and moanin’ last year about MOANA costumes being culturally insensitive, I called bullshit and told ’em to take a seat. This time, though, those complaining do have a point. They say the costume is too sexy. I agree. Considering the character Eleven is a little girl and this costume is going to likely be worn by little girls, then yes, it’s too sexed-up. The costume is called the “Upside-Down Honey” and comes with a waffle (purse) and a fake nosebleed. It’s obviously supposed to be Eleven. If it’s grown women who will be wearing the costume, then no harm, no foul. Nor am I calling for the costume to be pulled from store shelves. I just wouldn’t buy it, if I had a daughter and she wanted to dress as Eleven for trick-or-treating. And since I don’t have a daughter, I’m not likely to buy it anyway.

Do YOU think it’s an inappropriate costume for a little girl?
