Warning, parents: This one’s gonna be a PG-13 article.
I used to know this guy, Andy, who repeated the same jokes, over and over. One of them, the one he recited the most often, was about his desire to name his penis “Demonz.” People who’d never heard the joke before would always ask him why (while the rest of us groaned). He’d answer, “So the next time I’m f***in’ some girl, she can scream out ‘I’ve got Demonz in me!'”
Yeah, I know. The joke honestly wasn’t even funny the FIRST time he told it. You can imagine how humorous it had become by the twenty-fifth time.
This article made me think of that guy and that joke. Unfortunately. The article itself is fairly interesting, though. It concerns the practice of people engaging in sex with spiritual entities, which the Catholic Church eventually branded as demons. Which isn’t to say that they weren’t demons to start with, only that the practice of paranormal coitus wasn’t seen as a damnable offense until the Church said it was. The author of the piece, as a teen, decided that she would probably go to Hell anyway, so she decided to give a romp in the sack with a demonic entity a try. The legions of Hell, it would seem, weren’t interested.
I bet Andy would’a been up for it, though.
