Screenshots of The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones Revealed

I’ve got goodies on The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones! The film, based on the first book in the bestselling series by Cassandra Clare, comes to theaters August 23. Sony hasn’t been sharing too many sneak peeks of the film, but they did share some photos from the movie. Wonder what Valentine looks like? Want to see a steamy photo of Jace and Clary? Check out the photos below!

“Set in contemporary New York City, a seemingly ordinary teenager, Clary Fray (Lily Collins), discovers she is the descendant of a line of Shadowhunters, a secret cadre of young half-angel warriors locked in an ancient battle to protect our world from demons. After the disappearance of her mother (Lena Headey), Clary must join forces with a group of Shadowhunters, who introduce her to a dangerous alternate New York called Downworld, filled with demons, warlocks, vampires, werewolves and other deadly creatures. Based on the worldwide best-selling book series.”

Here are the awesome screenshots (sadly none of the werewolves):

Have any of you read the books? Are you excited about the upcoming movie? I am! While I loved the story in the first three books of the series (the only books that matter in my opinion) I was not a fan of how the author portrayed her characters. She rocked the story, but failed when it came to the people in the books. I think the actors in the film will be able to pull off what the author couldn’t. So I am excited about the movie, I think it has the potential to be better than the book (gasp!).

  1. I liked the transformation and the wolf but, like everyone else said, i miss the wolf-hybrid monster look. Real wolves are cool but their not as bad-ass as the wolf-hybrid monster look. I just hope their not like the wolves of True Blood; they F-ed it up. Those wolves exist just to make vampires look better by comparison.
