A primary school headteacher has apologised to parents of schoolchildren at a Southampton school who had nightmares after being shown the music video of Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’.
What is wrong with people today? I mean, as someone trying to get involved in my community’s school system, the idea of showing horror films to kids never crossed my mind, –and yeah, okay, Thriller isn’t really a horror movie, but it’s not appropriate for seven year olds!
On the other side of the coin, I have strong doubts that these kids had nightmares, unless they never watch television, ever. It just sounds like an opportunity for parents to exercise control and anger toward the school system. At least it’s good to know that even teachers in the U.K. screw up.
