Scariest Movies of All Time – Maybe

Allow me to condense this article for you, peeps. It purports to offer you the 26 most frightening films you should be watching this Halloween season. But are all the suggestions worthy? I’ll run down the list for you, and offer my succinct and sage summations.

THE POSSESSION OF MICHAEL KING. (Haven’t seen it, thus I must refrain from commentary.) REC. (Saw the American version, QUARANTINE, and it was awesome.) BLACK WATER. (Best killer crocodile movie ever made. Highly recommended.) HERE COMES THE DEVIL. (Haven’t seen it.) DEADGIRL. (Seriously f*cked up film. In a good way.) INBRED, TRAIN, LAST SHIFT. (Haven’t seen them.) HIGH TENSION. (Bloated and overrated. Skip it.) HELLRAISER. (Well, duh!) THE STRANGERS. (A modern classic.) FUNNY GAMES. (Ridiculously stupid. This may well be the worst movie that I have ever seen, second only to its own remake. Forgawdsake, skip it!) THE HILLS HAVE EYES. (The remake? Seriously?) THEM. (Good, creepy, unsettling.) KIDNAPPED. (Haven’t seen it.) THE CONJURING. (THE CONJURING 2 is better.) HUMAN CENTIPEDE. (Not scary, just gross.) THE DESCENT. (See comments regarding THE STRANGERS.) THE BABADOOK. (See comments regarding THE DESCENT.) I SAW THE DEVIL, FRONTIERS. (In my queue but I have yet to see them.) HOSTEL. (Seriously? Please.) MARTYRS. (Also in my queue, also haven’t seen.) THE LOVED ONES. (Haven’t seen.) EVIL DEAD. (The remake. And surprisingly, it is worthy.) INSIDE. (For real? This made their number one? It was OKAY, but scariest of all these listed? It’s not even in the top ten! And where on this list is TRICK-R-TREAT, featuring Anna Paquin as the world’s sexiest werewolf?!)

  1. Question, do you know any BIPED Werewolf books that are on Audible? I’m looking for something like the Cry Wolf Series by Patrica Briggs, but with Biped Werewolves, not Quadruped.
