  1. Please excuse my excitement over something I saw on PENNY DREADFUL, but the “Wolf of God” stuff really interests me. Never before in my life had I made a connection between Werewolves and God, in fiction or real life stories like Mr. Ramsey’s. I’ve always believed werewolves to be inherently evil. Not the man himself, but the horrific creature he or she turns into. I’m very curious why the “Wolf of God” part of werewolf history has been kept a secret. Even when I google it I mainly get info about the rock band. I came upon your site just recently and I love it. If you can recommend any books or films on this topic I’d be very grateful. As a former Marine and Veteran of the Iraq War, I made an instant connection with the Ethan Chandler character. The guilt and pain he feels from slaughtering people, both as a werewolf and as a soldier, is a curse we both share. There’s a bit of relief in this for me, even though he’s a fictional character. I really want to learn all I can about the “Wolf of God”. Any suggestions???

P.S. Oh yeah, Ethan’s real last name was Talbot, just like Anthony Hopkins and Benecio Del Toro’s characters in the film, WOLFMAN. Anyone else pick up on that?
