That’s right Vampire Diaries fans, a new werewolf is coming to Mystic Falls! Woo! Michaela McManus is the new actress set to join the cast of one of our favorite supernatural shows.

Reports are saying that the actress will play Jules, a friend of Mason Lockwood, in a few episodes of The Vampire Diaries.
The character will arrive in Mystic Falls in search of the sexy werewolf, unaware that he has already been killed by Damon (Ian Somerhalder).
You guys may recognize McManus, who previously played Lindsey Strauss on The CW’s One Tree Hill and was briefly a main cast member on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. Her most recent television roles include guest appearances on Castle and CSI: Miami.
Michaela McManus is expected to make her debut appearance in December.
We don’t know too much more on this new werewolf character, producers are keeping it top secret – as usual.
All we do know is what’s coming up in the next episode – Katerina.
“Elena is put in peril when as she searches for information about Katherine’s past. Knowing that Stefan would disagree with her plan, Elena swears Caroline to secrecy. Meanwhile Bonnie and Jeremy meet a new student, Luka, with an unusual family history and Damon uses a new-found confident to discover the purpose of the moonstone.”
In a recent interview, Nina Dobrev, who plays both Katherina and Elena, dished a little on the upcoming episode.
“We find out how she became a vampire and what led her to become the person she is today — a selfish, maniacal woman who only looks out for herself.”
In addition to this small bit of info, co-executive producer Julie Plec teases us little by saying that there are big things on the way, as we will learn a bit more about the mysterious villain who just might be behind Katherine’s own transformation:
“This villain has ties to the deep, deep past of the vampire legend. And then in our last episode before the holidays [December 9], we’ll finally see poor Tyler Lockwood’s torturous transformation into a werewolf.”
So not only do we get the new werewolf Jules, but we finally get to see Tyler as a werewolf. Hurray!

I gotta admit I was expecting that the younger Lockwood would trigger the curse. Well lets see what the new ‘bitch’ will bring to town. ;)
