Alright, so I reached out to “Roger”, the purported survivor of the attack wherein the Beast of the Land Between the Lakes killed a group of campers back in the early 80s. My request for an interview was ignored. Make of that what you will. I was subsequently contacted by another paranormal researcher who warned me to avoid “Roger” as the latter was a shyster just trying to make money from an account of something that never happened. Make of *that* what you will. Also, “Roger” claims that he has been stalked and even physically attacked at one point by people he alleges were paid off by some paranormal podcasters. Make of *that* what you will.
There is supposedly another eyewitness, this one not a survivor of the massacre but a guy who worked for the BLM or some such agency and who took part in the recovery of the bodies from this alleged attack and who allegedly made a deathbed confession confirming that it did happen. I will seek to either confirm or debunk this claim, insomuch as either is possible.
What have we learned, then? Nothing new, I’m afraid. We’ve learned that no credible evidence has thus far been presented to suggest that the attacks are anything more than a good campfire story. We’ve learned that there are those who have *claimed* that credible evidence exists. To those claimants I say, paraphrasing Cuba Gooding Jr., “show us the money shot”!
