There’s a new monster flick that’s got every horror site talking – Monster Brawl. The film recently had its world premiere at Canada’s Fantasia film festival where it was so successful it picked up an audience award. Pretty impressive for an indie horror film.
Check out the Monster Brawl description:
“Set in the tradition of a Pay-Per-View main event, comes a grotesque and hilarious fight to the death featuring a cast of eight classic combatants in all. Along with their colorful managers, these Monsters compete in visceral bloody combat in the ring to determine the most powerful monster of all time.”

Yes – Monster Brawl is exactly what its name claims. You may be wondering what the exact plot of this film is, and well, according to a review by Dread Central, “…Monster Brawl isn’t so much a movie as the kind of sporting event you wish really existed. It’s got all the spectacle of wrestling, all the athleticism of boxing, and all the fantasy and special FX of horror movies. It’s a love letter to a Friday night spent watching The Monster Squad, followed by a Saturday morning watching Hulkamania.”
So if you’re looking for some entertaining and gruesome violence then you’ve got it in Monster Brawl where you can watch all of your favorite monsters (including a werewolf) battle it out.
As to when the film will be available to the entire public, unfortunately we do not know. The director and crew of Monster Brawl are currently showing it off at various European film festivals. There isn’t even any word on when they’ll be making their way to the US. Boo!
