Let’s Try That Again

Last week we were offered a tease of the practically achieved transformation scene of the beast in the new film THE AMITYVILLE MOON. But no clip magically appeared. This one doesn’t show us a transformation, but it does give us a decent look at the werewolf and of an unfortunate victim getting her face ripped off. We won’t get into the physics of such an injury being achieved in just such a way by one swipe of an inhuman claw—pretty sure it wouldn’t look like it does in the clip if it happened—but arguing for realism in a clip from a werewolf movie of this sort seems rather unconnected.

“What if a house of holiness turned out to be a haven of evil? As Alyssa and Karla try to escape from the church home that holds them captive, Karla is slaughtered by a vicious, semi-human creature. After Detective Kimball tracks down Alyssa at a rowdy biker bar, she tells Kimball that women inmates disappear every full moon, and shows him the silver bullets in her gun. Now the two must return to the halfway house to confront the priest and nuns—and the snarling, savage evil—that dwell within.” So goes the spiel. I look forward to seeing this one. It’s looks terrible—y fun.
