Killer Dogs of Alabama

In the heart of redneck-dom, the dogs are revolting! More than that, they are uprising! There have been two, count’em, TWO incidents of human beings killed by dogs in a matter of weeks. What’s going on, here? And the two incidents weren’t even that far apart, geographically? Is it like in the movies, where some toxic chemical or supernatural entity is taking control of canines and turning them into bloodthirsty killers?

(Note: While it is customary for me to report on all things on this site in a facetious tone, I wouldn’t want anyone to take it that I mean to make light of these incidents. They are tragedies, and I extend full sympathy to the families of the victims.)

In Section, Alabama, where one woman was killed and another injured, there had been complaints made against the dogs in the past. Why, then, were the brutes still running around loose, if they were known to be dangerous? And in Guntersville, Alabama, another woman was killed and a second injured, just like in the other case, by a pack of dogs. And, just like in the other case, there had been incidents involving these dogs attacking people in the past. Why had these animals not already been put down?
