Kevin Nash Wants to Play Herman Munster

If you don’t recognize the name Kevin Nash, you obviously aren’t a wrestling fan. Nash, aka Diesel, aka Big Daddy Cool, is a legend in professional wrestling. And he’s one big dude. Nash stands seven feet tall and weighs in at well over 300 pounds, but there’s very little excess body fat on that sizable frame. On the contrary, he’s hella ripped, or used to be. And to take a look at the guy’s face, he even kinda looks like Herman Munster already. He would be perfect for the part, in other words. IF. If he could act.

Now Kevin Nash has appeared in some movies in smaller parts and he wasn’t terrible. And he was good at playing his character in wrestling. But is he on the same level as Fred Gwynne? Not hardly. You might think playing a character like Herman Munster wouldn’t be that difficult, as the character is essentially just a live-action cartoon and is played for laughs. But anyone who’s ever done it can tell you, playing Comedy is often harder than playing Drama. Whoever ends up portraying Herman in Rob Zombie’s new take on THE MUNSTERS is gonna need some chops. I don’t know if Nash has them.
