Human Lab Rats at Skinwalker Ranch

As I sit typing these words, it is early Monday. I have to wait a couple more days for the second episode of the new History channel series THE SECRET OF SKINWALKER RANCH. Not being the patient type, I busy myself with study, research into the infamous Utah location. Thus it is that I chanced upon this article, here, positing the question of whether or not human beings were used as unwitting guinea pigs at the Ranch. The author of the piece points out, and rightfully so, that even for seasoned investigators of the strange and paranormal, Skinwalker Ranch can be mind-blowing. In other words, even if one ruminates on strangeness on the regular, Skinwalker Ranch can be a bit too much to chew. Or, if you’re like me and you accept that anything—literally anything—might be possible there, without even trying to make sense of it, just accepting that it *is*, it is a smorgasbord of wonder, a sandbox in which to wander, and no matter how many metaphorical trips one makes there, no two visits will ever be the same.

Aerospace engineer Robert Bigelow, paranormal enthusiast and former owner of Skinwalker Ranch, was corralled by then-Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid in 2007 to investigate UFO activity. That’s documentable fact. Did Bigelow take advantage of his ownership of the Ranch to collect research from his employees there? Seems reasonable. Did he do this without them being aware of it? Also seems reasonable. And what were the results? Ah, now we’re getting to the meat of it! And, as with most questions concerning the paranormal, we don’t know.
