While scanning IMDB for upcoming werewolf flicks I came across a film with no date and no info called Welcome to Hoxford. After getting my google search on I discovered that Welcome to Hoxford is a four-issue comic book mini-series drawn by the incredible award-winning artist Ben Templesmith. According to the Welcome to Hoxford website, the rights to the comic have been bought and a movie just might be on the way. As to when that movie is coming out, I can’t tell you, but I can give you the dish on the comic itself.
“Written and illustrated by Templesmith, Welcome to Hoxford is a horrific series that features a unique and nasty take on werewolves. In the debut issue, Raymond Delgado is the newest inmate at the Hoxford Correctional Facility and Mental Institution. He has no hope of release, parole, rehabilitation, or decent conversation. Ray hasn’t been taking his medication. No surprises there. On a good day, he’ll tell you he’s Zeus and only bite your arm off–literally. On a bad day, you won’t have time to scream to the prison guard for help. But Dr Jessica Ainley, his doctor for five years, wants to help Ray and can’t understand why the newly privatized, corporately-run prison won’t give her access to her patients. And why people are always transferred into Hoxford, but no records show anyone ever transferring back out. ”
“It’s odd,” said Templesmith. “But the whole reason this book exists is because my work has been banned from a few prisons. I’m told it’s among the darkest work I’ve ever done, and I don’t mean the amount of black ink I’ve been using. ”
How have I not heard of this comic?! It sounds horrific and badass, a nice break from the pansy-ass werewolf stories that we’ve been seeing so much lately. Here’s hoping the movie is produced, just because they bought the rights doesn’t mean the movie will get made, but fingers crossed because this sounds like it could be an excellent addition to the world of werewolf films.

I think I’ll wait until a few people have watched it so we can get some reviews–not all gorey-violent werewolf flicks are well-done, after all. For all we know, this might end up being downright stupid!
The comic is really good I have the complete set I cant wait fo this movie
This is what I expect a decent werewolf movie to be fear and terror, this is a creature that earns respect by being the most terrifing thing out there. That Is why I like werewolves.
