Have You Ever Heard of Wolf Lake?

Well, if you haven’t, it’s a werewolf show that came out a few years ago – a very short-lived werewolf show. 1. I’ve heard of it, but never seen an episode either, because it was cancelled.

I hate it when they cancel great TV shows, only to air the retarded reality ones. (Biggest Loser immediately comes to mind.)

  2. I heard of it and seen some episodes but a big thing that killed it is the networks kept moving the broadcast time so it was hard to follow before they canned it. I don’t remember much from it though occasionally. APTN has reaired it.

  3. Wolf Lake was an excellent show… Sort-of “Twin Peaks” meets “Teen Wolf”. It’s a shame it took more than a decade to be released on DVD. The show suffered from seriously unfortunate timing – It was originally scheduled to premiere the day after 9/11 2001. The ensuing weeks of 24/7 news coverage and national distraction killed the show after barely a month. The final 4 episodes didn’t even air until 6 or 7 months later on a different network. Such a wasted opportunity. ABSOLUTELY worth seeing… Also, and early starring role for Paul Wasilewski (Wesley) of Vampire Diaries fame.

  4. Shame they never aired the last episode. Looks like it’s not on here, either. You can easily tell this series ended long before it was intended to just from the last 6 minutes of “If These Wolves Could Talk”: Sheriff’s daughter comes home sporting glowing golden eyes and asking him to help her, Ruby as a white wolf fleeing into the woods from a cage belonging to the bad-guy wolf who had been holding her under the threat of killing her husband if she didn’t stay with him, John clearly determined to find Ruby (his wife) and figure out what was going on in that town. At least we get the pilot ep…I guess.
