‘Grimm’ is Coming Back for a Second Season!

The past few months you, my beloved readers, have raved about how much you love Grimm and its blutbad Monroe, which is why I am thrilled to share some amazing news – NBC has renewed Grimm for a second season! Yay! The second season has been picked up for 22 more episodes. Yes, 22 more kickass episodes!

Making its debut in October, 2011, Grimm stars David Giuntoli, as Portland homicide detective Nick Burkhardt, who discovers that he’s part of a long line of monster hunters known as “Grimms.” With the help of his werewolf-like friend Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell), Nick uses his powers to investigate crimes committed by mythological beasties that have the ability to disguise themselves as normal people.

While NBC officially announced the renewal last week, fans of the show received the good news directly from some of the happy cast via Twitter:

Co-star Russell Hornsby, who plays Burkhardt’s police partner, tweeted “Grimmsters… 2nd season, it’s official! Yes! More Grimm fairy tales to come. Thanks for your support!”

Reggie Lee, who plays Sergeant Wu, posts: “@NBCGrimm renewed for a 2nd season! WU huuuuuu!!!! #Grimmsters and #grimmlins u do us proud!!! Thx for the support!!!!”

Awesome news for all of us Grimm fans! Here’s hoping the show just gets better and better! I am loving Season 1 so far, my only complaint is that it moves just a bit too slowly. I have high hopes for Season 2 though.

How do you feel about Grimm being renewed for a second season? Are you excited? Or are you just not a Grimm fan?

    1. Then hopefully you can’t speak or read german, never met one who does who liked this show. They could at least have gotten someone to get the language right even if they have given their creatures these stupid names.
Shows like this make me question how much American TV and Television misrepresents other countries.
