The long-delayed and long-awaited fourth season of STRANGER THINGS is finally on its way. We know that it will debut sometime next year. (Yeah, that’s not really news and not really specific, either. But it’s nice to get official word that the series *will* continue. Not that we really doubted it, but, I mean, it *has* been quite a while now.) Said fourth season will, according to the official spiel, find Hopper still very much alive (also not much in the way of news) but “imprisoned far from home in the snowy wasteland of Kamchatka, where he will face dangers both human…and other. (Pretty sure one of those “other” dangers will be a Demogorgon, since we were shown that the Russians had one back at the end of season three.) Meanwhile, back in the states, a new horror is beginning to surface, something long buried, something that connects everything….” It also looks like Freddy is going to play a big part in it.

Oh, sorry. I mean “Victor Creel”.

Preserving the 80s vibe is as crucial to the success of the show as acting or storyline, and there’s no better way to maintain that aesthetic than to bring in Robert Englund and have him casting razor-gloved shadows as he menaces the cast.

Freddy Krueger *and* a Demogorgon. Season four has the makings of greatness.
