Finding Bigfoot

Ah, lists. How I enjoy a love/hate relationship with them. They give me things to report on, but in order to do so I have to navigate through their various pages plagued by pop-ups and tedious slow load times. This one, however, has all the topics on one page, and I didn’t have to fight my way past a lot of annoying ads, so I’m cool with it. It promises “Ten Places Where You Might Encounter Bigfoot”:

Salmon River, Idaho. (This is where the encounter reported by Teddy Roosevelt took place.) The Otay Mountains between California and Mexico, which seems to be a hotspot for paranormal activity of all sorts. Mount St. Helens. (I already knew about this one.) Bluff Creek, California. (EVERYbody knows about this one.) The Everglades. (I visited the Skunk Ape Research Center in the ‘Glades last year.) Fouke, Arkansas. (I visited the legendary Boggy Creek in 2014.) I’d never heard of the Bigfoot siege of Honobia, Oklahoma before. I HAVE heard about the Bigfoot sightings in the Great Smoky Mountains, including the one wherein a Sasquatch reputedly abducted a child. Pierce County, Washington has the most reported Bigfoot sightings in the entire country. Keatchie Bayous in Louisiana is number one on their list, but I’m not sure why. Maybe it had what the compiler of the list considered the scariest encounter? I would argue the Roosevelt account and the one from the Smokies were scarier. But maybe that’s just me.
