Tyler Posey of MTV’s TEEN WOLF was pimping his new Horror flick TRUTH OR DARE to Yahoo Entertainment, and he made mention of some interesting connections between himself and the star of the 80s “classic” TEEN WOLF TOO, which starred Jason Bateman, who was highly marketable at the time due to the success of his sitcom THE HOGAN FAMILY. Michael J. Fox, star of the original TEEN WOLF, refused to come back for a sequel (reportedly because he hated the amount of time he had to spend in the makeup chair to be transformed into a werewolf), so they just changed the title a smidge and decided to feature his character’s COUSIN. (Ironically, Fox starred with Justine Bateman, sister of Jason, in his own hit sitcom, FAMILY TIES.) TEEN WOLF 2 was a disaster of a movie. Maybe it’s for this reason that Jason Bateman doesn’t like being reminded of it.
Said Posey: “I met [Bateman] at the Teen Choice Awards, my first one ever [and] I went up to him and said, ‘Hey buddy, I’m a huge fan. I’m the new Teen Wolf, by the way.’ And then we had a mini discussion about the prosthetic makeup. And then he got on stage and there was like a lull in his presentation, and I yelled, ‘Teen Wolf Too!'” Which reportedly elicited a scowl from the actor. I can’t blame him. I wouldn’t want to have people reminded of it, either, had I starred in the film.
