Destination America’s TERROR IN THE WOODS: WEREWOLF
I only recently got the Destination America channel. I don’t know HOW I got it, as I changed nothing in my satellite package. One day, it was just there. Similarly, the network “Chiller,” which shows Horror movies exclusively, tends to come and go in a pattern impossible to predict. Sometimes I get it and sometimes I don’t. Crazy mixed-up satellite signals. I dig Chiller, though, and I REALLY dig Destination America. (They really should rename the latter the “Supernatural Channel,” methinks.) Have you seen the series “Terror in the Woods”? It’s cool. Features dramatic recreations of experiences people claim to have had in the great outdoors, spliced with interview footage of the individuals.
The other day, I watched an episode entitled “Werewolf/Demon in the Woods.” This couple was driving along in rural North Carolina at night when they hit something with their truck. The guy gets out to investigate, and spots not one but two nasty-looking werewolves. He identifies the creatures as such because initially the first one he spots is standing on all fours–then it stands up on two legs. He promptly hauled ass out of there. Me, I’d be the dumb-ass who gets eaten by a werewolf while trying to get it to pose for a picture.
Check out the show if the network magically appears on your TV sometime. It’s worth seeking out.
