Defending Hannibal

I don’t really feel the need to verbally eviscerate the AltRight overly much (although I do occasionally make fun of Trump trolls) mainly because it seems unnecessary. Really the only people in the world who DON’T know that the AltRight is evil are people who belong to it, and actually they know it, too, they just don’t like to admit it. The AltLeft, though, is in a way more dangerous, because AltLeft trolls masquerade as righteous, as fighters of the good fight, when in reality they are just as toxic as their Rightwinger opponents. I think that’s why I always go after the AltLeft PC over-woke jackasses whenever I encounter them. Because unlike the AltRight, their villainy is not so immediately obvious. The AltRighters are willing to be who they are, whereas the AltLefters like to wear sheep’s clothing to conceal their true nature.

Here’s the latest example: a podcast attacking THE SILENCE OF THE LAMBS for being “transphobic”. (Actually the podcast is more talking about the people who think the movie is transphobic more than making the claim itself.) You wanna know who’s actually transphobic? Anybody saying that THE SILENCE OF THE LAMBS is transphobic! Why? Because what you’re actually saying, if you make such a claim, is that EVERY trans person is just like Buffalo Bill. The movie never says that. None of the characters in the movie ever say that. It’s evident to them, and to the viewers, and to any thinking person, that Buffalo Bill is a depiction of ONE highly disturbed individual, who just happens to be trans. ONE. You cannot be transphobic simply because you feature ONE villain who is trans.

Or maybe we’re supposed to all get offended on behalf of psychiatrists, because THE SILENCE OF THE LAMBS is OBVIOUSLY suggesting that all psychiatrists are cannibals. Or maybe it’s suggesting that all British people are cannibals? All British psychiatrists? All British psychiatrists who love classical music?

You see how silly it is?
