Livestreaming is the way of the future. I get that. But I despise it with every fiber of my being, as does the collective, I am sure, of that small percentage of the population unable to livestream due to geographic constraints. We can’t get cable and our Internet feed comes from a satellite, which means it’s metered, which means we can’t livestream unless we’re willing to cut off an arm to pay for it and even then the reception would be so lousy that it wouldn’t be worth the loss of limb. So yeah, we hate livestreaming.
I’d love to be able to watch CARNIVAL ROW, the new series available on Amazon Prime streaming. I cannot. As it features a werewolf in a prominent role I must nonetheless report on it. I can’t say whether or not the show is any good, since I haven’t seen it. (Did I mention that I can’t livestream?) But I can tell you a little bit about it. Or share what others are saying about it. My understanding is that the subtext of the show is racism. Cara Delevigne plays a fairie and Orlando Bloom stars as a “half-blood” (whatever the hell that means). There is a werewolf, and a creature called a “Darkasher” which is a creation of dark magic and is a composite of other supernatural creatures. Is that right?
