“How Ted Bundy’s Teeth Became the Most Important Evidence in His Trial.” That’s the title of this linked article. The answer to me seems obvious: bite marks. They can be as specific as fingerprints. No two people have the same ones. Each is distinct. And Ted Bundy left bite marks on his victims. Just like an animal, like the werewolf of legend. Ted Bundy might have had a deceptively nice smile, but his teeth were somewhat crooked, and one of his upper teeth was chipped. This made the bite pattern left by his teeth even more unique. Do you know how hard you’d have to bite a body to leave such a clear impression that it remained weeks later?
Thanks to the new Netflix movie EXTREMELY WICKED, SHOCKINGLY EVIL and VILE starring former teenybopper heartthrob Zac Efron, Bundy is back in the headlines again. That’s probably a good thing. The world needs reminding that monsters like Bundy are out there. Efron’s pretty boy teeth were a tad too perfect for the role, though, even if he otherwise resembled Bundy to an uncomfortable degree. Efron had to wear fake teeth in his lower jaw in order to complete his transformation into Bundy.
