Best and Worst Werewolf Transformations

Hmm, let’s see if I agree with this listing. (It’s available at the source link below. I’ve started including this tagline because there have been people in the past who, when reading one of my posts, weren’t able to find the original article I was referencing. It’s listed as “source.” Look down. See it? Good.) The worst werewolf is Oz from BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER? Really? I mean, Oz-wolf wasn’t gonna win any awards in the FX department, no, but have these people ever seen one of the HOWLING sequels? I’ve seen better werewolves in the costume section at Walmart during Halloween season. Who else sucks, according to them? Alcide on TRUE BLOOD. Okay, maybe. I honestly can’t say, as I never watched the show. The clip of his transformation looks a little hokey, though. The beasts from CURSED, AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN PARIS, and VAN HELSING also get low marks.

The best? THE COMPANY of WOLVES made the cut, despite is low budget, as did FRIGHT NIGHT (the original). But the original HOWLING only came in at number three? What? Oh, THE WOLFMAN (the 1941 original, although the remake with Benecio del Toro was pretty spiffy in its own right) is at number 2? I can dig it. Right on. And I’m betting you can guess what’s at number 1. Yes, it’s AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON. Rick Baker is king!
