An American Werewolf in Orlando

If I ever get the chance to take a vacation to sunny Florida during the month of October, you can bet your ass I’m gonna be heading to Universal Studios Theme Park in Orlando for their HALLOWEEN HORROR NIGHTS, which is billed as the biggest and most spectacular haunted attraction in the country. (For the price it had better be.) Looking at the website for this years’ attraction, I see that there’s a new Krampus house, in addition to the classic Halloween Haddonfield/Michael Myers house and one based on American Horror Story. I don’t see listed as one of this year’s features the American Werewolf in London house, which probably means it has been discontinued. Replaced by the Krampus attraction, perhaps. I’m distressed to learn this. I love me some Krampus; don’t get me wrong. But I never got to visit the American Werewolf in London house, you see, and now that it seems I won’t ever get the chance, I’m dejected.

Here’s a little consolation, though, for myself and those like me, who never got to attend the haunted festivities down in Orlando. Thanks to the modern miracle of youtube, we can each take a virtual tour of the house. No, it isn’t the same as being there in person, but at least we get to see what we missed, until such time as (hopefully) the theme park brings it back.
