Alas, Chiller, I hardly knew ye!

NBC sucks. Always has. They’ve cancelled far too many cool shows, shows I enjoyed, for me to ever forgive them. This goes all the way back to the original STAR TREK, which they axed before I was even born, but I’m angry about it anyway. I didn’t know NBC owned Chiller, the Horror movie cable network. But when I heard that they were canceling Chiller, it made perfect sense that it would be an NBC move. NBC, the network of boneheads.

I also have a love/hate relationship with DirecTV. As in, I love the content they provide but I hate the company. I’ve lost countless hours of my life on the telephone or computer having to sort out some mistake DirecTV made–and their mistakes ALWAYS come at my expense, not theirs. And their service is slipshod. For example, I never ordered Chiller. One day I was channel-flipping and saw that I had it. No change to my “package” or bill. Then one day, it was gone. Then, a few weeks later, it was back again, it and several other channels. Again, through no action on my part and no change in my monthly bill. Who knows why? But I found that I really dug on Chiller. I’ve seen some cool movies on Chiller (like ANIMAL, which I just watched this past week and which I review on this here site this week). After only a few months of enjoying it, though, the National Bonehead Company is canceling it. Chiller will cease to exist on January 1st of the new year. Bah, humbug.
