The first time I saw this clip played on the evening news I had no doubts that I was seeing a Screamin’ Black Panther, and Out-Of-Place animal, an ABC (Alien Big Cat). Such creatures are frequently sighted in my home state of Alabama. I’ve seen just such a creature twice with my own two peepers, and I don’t give a damn what the so-called experts say about it. Like one representative of the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources claims saying that ABC sightings are usually “misidentifications of domestic dogs and cats, coyotes and bobcats.” Okay, maybe sometimes that is the case. But lemme tell you sumpin, Mr. Expert dude. I’m a country boy. Lived there most of my life. Spent plenty of time in the woods. I know exactly what a dog and housecat look like, and what a coyote looks like, and what a bobcat looks like. And there is no way not involving some serious hallucinogens—and I do not partake—that I would confuse any of those things with a fully-grown Screamin’ Black Panther.) They are out there. They shouldn’t be, but they are.
But yeah, watching the video a few times afterward, I do think it shows just a common housecat, made to appear much larger than it actually is due to “forced perspective”. It’s an optical illusion, in other words. No ABC. This time.
