A Visit to the Full Moon Cineplex

I’d been wanting to pay a visit to this establishment ever since I first learned of its existence earlier this year.

I knew when I saw the Melies “Man in the Moon” effigy that I was among literate Horror fans.

This past weekend, to celebrate Friday the 13th, I made the drive to check out the double-feature of FRIDAY THE 13TH PART THREE (in its original glorious 80s red-and-blue glasses 3D format!) and FRIDAY THE 13TH: THE FINAL CHAPTER. I was in love before I set foot in the place.

The theater, which caters to Horror fans almost exclusively by showing classic Horror flicks on the big screen, has been open about three years, and it has a lot of regular customers.

If I lived in the area I’d be there most weekends.

The atmosphere, the ambiance, the décor; the Full Moon Cineplex is an oasis for a Monsterkid like me. It is home.
Lots of love for the Classics, so you know they’re good people.
Lotsa love for werewolves, too.

The popcorn is good, and the hotdogs are the best I’ve ever eaten. I kid you not. And you can have your own little cubbyhole to sit and enjoy your refreshments, like having a table right there in front of you!

I’ll be going back there soon. You should, too.
