Why I Love The Wolfman’s Emily Blunt

February 18th, 2010 § 1

The beautiful Emily Blunt is making waves with her current flick ‘The Wolfman.’ Ever since her breakout role in The ‘Devil Wears Prada’ up to her recent Golden Globe-winning performance in last year’s ‘The Young Victoria’ – Emily Blunt has become the hot new star to watch. I think it’s about time to push those other supernatural stars aside for a bit and make way for Emily. I mean really, we have had enough of the moody Twilight poptarts, we need an intelligent werewolf-lovin’ woman to shine in the spotlight.

If you’re wondering where my sudden Emily Blunt crush has come from let me explain – first it’s the obvious fact that she is in The Wolfman. The film about Lawrence Talbot, the cursed werewolf and Gwen Conliffe, the woman in search of her lost love. The Wolfman is a bloody and gory ride that is sure to thrill and entertain you. So Blunt gets 100 awesome points for just staring in it.

But here is what really made me love her – an interview in which she talks about her dislike for airbrushed photos, even asking one photographer to ease up on the photoshop.

“I told him not to make me thinner,” she said. “I hate when your legs are three times the length they actually are. I heard they could raise your nipples if you have a slightly see-through top, lift your bum — they can do everything. I can understand there are things like shadows they need to fix after a shoot, but it’s unfair to represent an image of yourself if it’s not true. They’re gonna see what you look like on film anyway, so why try to cover all your wobbly bits in a photo?”

That’s why I adore Emily Blunt. Not only is she in the biggest werewolf flick in years, but she rocks off the camera as well.

Oh yea, and she’s hot… especially when she has red hair.
