It is a lot of fun! There are a couple of Werewolf sets (I got the Ultimate Werewolf Ultimate Edition which seems the best) or you can just assign roles to cards in a normal deck of cards. I think having a set is better but anyway you look at it it is a great game! There is a lot more to say with a lot more roles available. I have only played it at work as a Team Building excercise but will try to develop a group in Southern Cali to play more often. I liked the notes you had here on playing the game.
