Elena, unlike Sookie, is a little more intelligent, –and one of the first things that Elena realized when she first found out Stefan was a vampire, was that if vampires are real, then so are a lot of other things she never considered. Like witches; her friend Bonnie is proof! If you’re an avid Vampire Diaries fan, I have to warn you, before you go on reading:

We first talked about the possibility of werewolves in the Vampire Diaries, –also known as True Blood Lite, back in January. During an interview, Steven R. McQueen, –yes, THE son of THE Steve McQueen, who plays Jeremy Gilbert, brother of Elena Gilbert, was speculative as to whether or not he’ll be playing the werewolf. During the last few episodes, Jeremy has actually been trying to convince young vampire Annabelle to turn him, but once he realized Vickie wasn’t a vampire, he wasn’t interested.

In the book series, Tyler Lockwood, the son of Mayor Lockwood, is the werewolf. In episode 18, there are a few revelations as to what’s going on with the rather moody Tyler. He has the typical werewolf attitude, but according to the show’s executive producer, Kevin Williamson, interviewed by Entertainment Weekly, Tyler’s ‘inner wolf’ is better kept metaphorical…

“…and instead play out his aggression and daddy issues and things that are associated with a wolf without making him a wolf.” “[The werewolf card will eventually be played because] wherever there are vampires, there are usually wolves nearby,” notes Williamson. “My biggest concern is what the weekly special effect is going to look like. That takes careful preparation and a lot of money and some testing. We’re working on it now to figure out what we can do that won’t just look stupid. And they have to still be sexy — because, let’s face it, we cast these beautiful people for a reason.”

there’s also supposed to be a major death in this next episode, –even more major than Bonnie’s grandmother. According to BuddyTV, the safe characters are: Elena, Stefan, Damon and Tyler. The characters at risk for sudden death are: Matt, Jeremy, Caroline, Bonnie, Alaric, and Jenna. So sad! I’m absolutely on the edge of my seat here, people! And you know, -sadly on the edge of my seat, waiting to see who dies.
