‘The Howling Reborn’ Coming to DVD and Blu-ray

On October 18th the long dreaded Howling reboot, The Howling Reborn, is coming out on DVD and Blu-ray. The eighth film in The Howling franchise has already received all sorts of hell from fans of the original movie, so I am not expecting this flick to break any kind of sales records. Does The Howling Reborn deserve all of the shit it has been getting? It’s really too early to tell, but come this October we’ll all know once and for all.

Until then, here’s more info on the upcoming DVD and Blu-ray.

“In this chilling reboot of the ’80s horror classic, Landon Liboiron of ”Terra Nova” stars as high school senior Will Kidman, whose infatuation with a beautiful classmate (Lindsey Shaw of ”Pretty Little Liars” and ”10 Things I Hate About You”) begins to trigger certain teenage animal instincts. But when a mysterious woman (Ivana Milicevic of Casino Royale) with a shocking secret re-enters his life, Will learns that he is heir to a powerful line of werewolves. Now he finds he has a choice to make: succumbing to his primal nature or turning against his own. In order to fight the destiny of his legacy and save the girl of his dreams, he must battle not only his growing blood lust but an army of fearsome beasts hell-bent on killing us all. Tonight, the full moon rises. The horror begins anew. This is THE HOWLING REBORN.”

Bonus features on both The Howling Reborn Blu-ray and DVD will include a commentary and a behind-the-scenes featurette – that’s it.

What do you think of the upcoming Howling Reborn? I know we have mentioned it in the past and it got loads of unhappy remarks from fans of the first Howling flick. Anyone change their minds or does it still sound like a terrible movie?

  1. Hmm, looking at the film trailer, it might not be hyper bad, and at least worth a watch. They didn’t show any actual shifting scenes or too much of the werewolves themselves when shifted, so I’m not sure if they’ll look cheesy or not.
