Taylor Lautner Dishes on Kissing Kristen Stewart & More

As every team Jacob fan knows, June 30 is the big day, the day The Twilight Saga: Eclipse hits theaters! But out of all the amazing scenes in the flick, there is one above all others that fans are dying to see – Bella and Jacob’s kissing scene. Since we still have a few weeks to go before we can see the big kiss, all we can do is read about what Taylor Lautner (aka Jacob Black) has to say about the kiss, as well as his thoughts on hating Edward.

The interview started out by asking Taylor the big question – what it was like filming the kissing scene with Kristen Stewart.

“As soon as we finished, as soon as we pulled away and they called cut, she’d look at me and I’d look at her and there would be a moment of silence, and she would go… ‘We just kissed!’ It’s definitely interesting but when we film, we become Jacob and Bella.”

All I hope if is a sexy kissing scene, there better not be any painful looks on his face like when Edward kisses Bella (which makes me cringe every time I see it). Anyway, Taylor then went on to discuss vampire Edward and werewolf Jacob’s battle for Bella’s human heart, a battle in which, as we all know, Edward wins in the end.

“[Jacob] becomes a little frustrated, because he always gets so close — he kisses her this time!” he said. “He becomes as close as you can get and still gets told no. It’s a tough situation; I definitely would not want to be in it.”

Taylor may have thought that kissing real-life friend Kristen was weird, but according to him the scenes he has with Robert Pattinson were even harder.

“One of the most challenging things about filming this was having to hate Edward, because I’m looking at Rob and it was difficult,” Taylor explained. “Every time we’d have a shouting match or he’d grab me on the shoulder or something, as soon as they called cut, we’d bust out laughing. Or we’d ruin plenty of takes.”

Wouldn’t you love to see them messing up scenes like that? I hope the Eclipse DVD has bloopers on it with just those.

A Perfectly Planned Date with Jacob

Maybe this is the 12 year-old girl in me coming out – or I’m just hopping on the Twilight bandwagon – but either way, who hasn’t thought about heading out on a date with Jacob (aka Taylor Lautner)? OK for you dudes out there, how about a man date?

Here are some ideas for what a lady should do on a date with the handsome werewolf, and some tips for a bromance:

Plan a picnic: Keep the raw meat at home, ladies. Jacob may be an animal, but he’s a big and beautiful thumping lad underneath it all. Cut some fresh flowers from a nearby field and place them in a basket, tied to perfection. Purchase some wine, cheese, crackers and light meaty pâté to quench his animalistic appetite. To top this date off, purchase some dark red dipped strawberries and feed them to each other.

Off the beaten path: Fellas, who doesn’t like a roam in the woods? On your man date, ask Jacob to take you on a tour of the woods he is familiar with. Make sure to tighten-up those hiking boots and pack tons of bug spray. When you come to that infamous cliff, take one for the team and jump your heart out! It’ll be worth it, living like the inner cub deep down inside of you.

For the two of you: This idea is a little different but both sexes can play reporter. Executing this plan takes some thinking outside of the box; grab a leather-bound pad and pen and start asking Jacob questions about what it’s like to be a creature of the night. Really try to get to the heart of his psyche and sympathize with him.

Traveling Around Werewolf Country

I envision myself traveling to a faraway place … perhaps to Monteleone or hell, even Michigan (yes, there have been reports of werewolves running amuck in those parts of the country!). Someday, somehow, I will pack my bags and take a trip to werewolf country.

Maybe I shall recruit Mr. Crazy from Washington, or maybe I’ll go it alone. The first thing I would do is check-in at a funky little bed and breakfast or hunt around for the perfect haunted and humble abode.

I would then map out the most popular werewolf attractions in the area that I was staying. I would be careful not to forget my homemade silver bullets and throwing knives, not to mention rugged hiking boots and a change of clothes. I really want to be prepared to spend as much time as possible outside.

Once I spend a day or two getting familiar with my surroundings, I would set-up some meetings with lycanthropic educators and professors. I would pick their brains on any new happenings in the werewolf community, and get as much information out of them as possible so that someday, I may be a great werewolf enthusiast.

My last days in werewolf country would be spent sleeping-in and hitting-up tourist attractions like nobody’s business. I would even pay for an extra piece of luggage, so that I may return home with a conglomerate of werewolf memorabilia to share with friends and family.

Doesn’t that sound like the most perfect trip?

The Big Werewolf War in Eclipse: Sneak Peek!

Yeah yeah, I know werewolf fans everywhere are usually aghast at the idea of werewolves in the Twilight Saga, but hey, –I’ve seen it, and I’m impressed, personally. Though, they aren’t really werewolves as we traditionally see them; they’re sort of shapeshifters. The werewolves in Twilight are a little similar to the whole shapeshifter culture that you might encounter in True Blood; ‘shifters’ dislike werewolves, in True Blood. While in the Twilight Saga, the werewolves are really just larger than life wolves. While on one hand, it’s nice to see more “wolf” in the creature, it’s easy to see how horror lovers want more gore, and less lore.

There’s a new sneak preview of the Eclipse film out there, driving Team Jacob crazy. Don’t bother searching Google, –the most popular video result is only about three minutes long. We have one that’s almost seven minutes long.

As for the question posed in Celebs-Gather, over who Bella will choose, –pretty much everyone who watches the movies has read the series about nine million times. And his name is “Taylor Lautner”, Lautner being the surname. Duh. But kudos for having the awesome video.

The longer video has more cast input from Eclipse, more scenes from the film, and more behind the scenes footage as well; the post in Celebs-Gather also includes a deleted scene from New Moon, –though, it kind of sucks. There was like, a solid 60 seconds of totally unnecessary conversation. Kind of easy to see why it was deleted in the first place. The DVD issued from Target includes a ton of extra features, including deleted scenes, and a bunch of other featurettes, while Best Buy competes with.. packaging.

Fans of 30 Days of Night will appreciate the next film in the saga a bit more knowing that the director of 30 Days, David Slade, has taken on Eclipse, and plans to turn it into a much more violent, action packed film than its predecessors.

5 celebrities that should be werewolves

In this day and age, there’s constant news of what director is turning x-popular horror book series into a movie, whether or not someone is on team Edward (vampire) or team Jacob (werewolf), and what next big-name star signed-on for x-horror flick. That’s all fine and great but let’s gets back to basics, people. Let’s really dig into the human psyche – let’s take matters into our own hands and weigh in on what WE think should happen. Let’s name some celebrities WE think should be werewolves … btw, team JACOB all the way!

Gerard Way- This little beast, lead singer of My Chemical Romance, is a great candidate to be a werewolf. He’s 100% emo and has skin as creamy as a full moon!

Taylor Lautner- As if this choice wasn’t obvious. He plays Jacob the werewolf in the popular film series Twilight, and is built like a recreation of a Greek god. If you were to run into this man-beast in the woods, watch out!

Pam Anderson- Can we say SHE WOLF?! This hot mama is the epitome of what Shakira sings about in her hit song. Can’t you just see Pammy running around woodland, howling at the moon and taking unsuspecting men back to her cave?

Gwen Stefani- This mother of two can fend for herself. She has her own fashion line, a hot rocker husband, and can bring you to tears with one fierce look. Don’t mess with Gwenny-Gwen, fellas.

Patrick Dempsey- Last but not least we have McDreamy. What lady wouldn’t want to be caught alone with this evolutionary masterpiece?

New Moon DVD Release News

Cue the screaming girls! The Twilight craze continues with the upcoming DVD release of the werewolf-filled New Moon on Saturday, March 20th, 2010.

Now, you hardcore Twilight fans are going to want to either wait in line at a midnight release, or you can pre-order from sites like Amazon or Barnes and Noble. The cool thing about pre-ordering from Barnes and Noble is that not only do you get the Special 2-disk Edition of the New Moon DVD, but you also get an exclusive Dreamcatcher bag clip. You can only get this Dreamcatcher from B&N though. The Dreamcatcher Bag Clip is a metal dangle finished in antique brass that combines a circular dreamcatcher, a sculptural Wolf Pack-tattoo charm and a Wolf Pack jewelry tag, feathers, and crystals. I admit, it looks pretty sweet.

As for the special features on the 2-disk DVD and Blu-Ray, well, unfortunately this time around there won’t be a commentary featuring New Moon stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, or Taylor Lautner. But, you will get a commentary with director Chris Weitz and editor Peter Lambert.

Along with the commentary there will also be a six-part, behind-the-scenes documentary chronicling the creation of the film, 20-minutes worth of deleted scenes, rehearsal footage from Muse, three music videos from Death Cab for Cutie, Anya Marina and Mute Math. So you are getting a lot of goodies, even though the cast didn’t join in on the commentary fun like in the Twilight DVD.

The DVD will retail for $32.99 and the Blu-Ray for $34.99 … both are a bit expensive if you ask me, but I suppose it’s nothing to the fans. Plus most stores usually have new release DVDs on sale their first week out, like Target did last year. Speaking of Target, they are selling a 3-disc Deluxe Edition of the DVD and with it you get a Target exclusive Collectible Film Cell. 3 disks!

So now you just have to decide where you’re going to get your copy at. Choice choices.

Emily Blunt Talks The Wolfman

Taylor Lautner and Chaske Spencer aren’t the only hot wolves that we’ll see on the big screen in 2010 and much before we see the Eclipse in June, we’ll get to see other big names such as Emily Blunt, Anthony Hopkins, and Benicio Del Toro either take on wolf forms or fight them. All of this will happen in the movie The Wolfman, which is due in theaters in February 2010. In this werewolf movie that’s set early in the 1800s, a brother returns to his hometown in England upon his brother’s fiance’s insistence, to investigate the disappearance of his brother. Upon arriving, he and the rest of the family quickly find out about all the horrors that lay there, and just how both brothers fit into it all.

One of the things that excites me most about this movie is that we get to see Emily Blunt in action. Blunt is an English starlet that I don’t think we get to see or hear nearly enough of. She recently sat down with Craze Online to discuss her most current project, Adjustment Bureau, in which she plays a young portrayal of Queen Victoria. Luckily, the talk turned away from early-day real life to early-day fantasy as Emily started discussing how it felt to play a role in which she ran from unnatural beasts, and whether or not she believes in the whole ‘were’ phenomenon. This excerpt comes from Crave Online,

“Q: You have a couple of big projects coming out in 2010, with The Wolfman and Gulliver’s Travels. What’s it like working in such fantastical worlds?

Emily Blunt: It’s funny because The Wolfman was a different kind of genre for me. The thing with The Wolfman is that it’s quite hard to do those genres sometimes because you want to have the characters react in a very real way to something that’s so otherworldly and supernatural that you’ve never had experience with that yourself. I’ve never come across a Wolfman. I don’t believe in it. So to have your whole existential bubble burst and try to react and show that in a realistic way was tricky. It helped that Benicio [Del Toro], as the Wolfman, looks absolutely f*cking terrifying. That helps transport you because it really makes your skin crawl, it’s so frightening. So, yeah, when I got chased by the Wolfman, I ran for my life. I hate being chased, number one. That’s my pet hate. When I was a kid, my mom would chase me up the stairs for a joke and I would cry. I hated it. So now, I’m living my nightmare in this movie. It was really fun!”

Seeing her in that movie is enough to make me want to go. But hearing Emily Blunt describe Benicio Del Toro as looking “f*cking terrifying” just intrigues me even more! Hopefully it turns out as good as it sounds.

List of Wilf (Werewolves I’d Like to F**k)

After doing a post similar to this here, I thought, why not do one for werewolves. I mean, werewolf men are powerful, deliciously wild and damned sexy. So here’s my personal list of werewolves I’d love to spend a few nights with.

(In no particular order)

1. Richard Zeeman: The incredibly powerful werewolf in the Anita Blake series by Laurell K. Hamilton. Tall, well built, chocolate colored hair – the guy is gorgeous. Granted he can be an emotional mess but those famous soft lips of his will make up for that.

2. Jacob Black: I wasn’t too hot for the book version of Twilight’s Jacob, but damn that Taylor Lautner is one sexy young man. In the first movie I didn’t care much for him but in New Moon…mmm mmm. Cut off that horrible long hair, add 30 pounds of muscle and you got yourself a fine werewolf.

3. Oz: The redheaded hottie from Buffy the Vamprie Slayer. He was a musician, a sweetheart and had a hilarious sense of humor. What’s not to love?

4. Vane: While reading Night Play by Sherrilyn Kenyon I totally fell for the tough and charming Katagaria wolf. The sex scenes featuring him in that book were so passionate and sexy you wished you were Bride.

5. Lucian: As most of us know he is the werewolf leader in the Underworld movies. I didn’t think much of him in the first movie, but in Rise of the Lycans he got lots of sexy points.

6. Gabriel: I haven’t read the book Blood and Chocolate but in the movie Gabriel was gorgeous. Yea yea, he was a total dick, but a very powerful and sexy one.

7. Velkan: Played by the striking Will Kemp in the movie Van Helsing. He was the werewolf brother of Kate Beckinsale’s character Anna Valerious. He may not have had a lot of screen time but either way he was still one of my favorite parts of that movie.

8. Madison: Madison was in one episode of the horror show Supernatural, and while I am a boys only kinda girl I just can’t leave out one of the sexiest werewolves of all time (played by Emmanuelle Vaugier). I mean come on, who wouldn’t want to spend a night with her?

New Moon: Introducing The Pack

Yup, it is time to talk about the second Twilight flick, New Moon. But why are we talking about this series, with its glittery vampires, on here? Because this second movie is when we meet the La Push werewolf pack, this is the movie where (the now sexy) Jacob Black gets more than a small handful of lines like in Twilight. He is the star of the movie and he is a werewolf, so here we are. This time the wolves outshine the vampires… well, not literally since, well, the werewolves in Twilight don’t sparkle like their rivals but you know what I mean.

So in New Moon vegetarian vampire Edward and the rest of his undead family leave town and Bella for “her safety” after a minor altercation at her birthday party (she looked tastier than the cake). Cue Jacob Black of the Quilite tribe. Jacob, now with an additional 30 pounds of muscle, manages to cheer Bella up after Edwards’s departure nearly destroys her. Bella then discovers that vamp Edward isn’t the only one with a supernatural secret; she learns that Jacob is a werewolf. With new dangers, new friends and new enemies, Bella finds herself choosing between holding on to the past or accepting a new future. But what and more importantly who will she choose? The wolf or the corpse?

I know a lot of you are rolling your eyes, thinking to yourselves “but the first Twilight movie sucked!” True, but this time around we got director Chris Weitz, who directed the beautiful ‘The Golden Compass.’ And not only do actors Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner return but we have the new additions of Dakota Fanning and Michael Sheen.

Love it or hate it Twilight will be around for a while (well, at least until they make all 4 books into movies). If you love it or are mildly interested you can check out the trailer for New Moon…
