Halloween is almost here! That magnificently horrifying night of candy, costumes and trickery! To celebrate this upcoming holiday I say we reminisce about our past Halloweens. What are your best Halloween memories? What are your favorite costumes you have worn over the years? Share in a comment below!
I have many Halloween memories, mostly of the costumes I have worn. When I was little I was either a princess or a pretty witch… every year… princess or witch. My mom would sew me these incredible gowns for my costumes – gowns that I ended up wearing everyday while playing pretend. I even forced my little brothers into the dresses. Bwhahaha.
Eventually I grew out of my super girly princess stage and into my love for horror. That’s when I dressed up as a werewolf for Halloween! I was probably around 10-years-old and I rocked that costume (I wish I had pictures to show you). I wore this oversized suit that was ripped to shreds, I had fangs, and there was werewolf fur glued all over my face. It was awesome… until it came time to take the fur off. That costume glue did not want to give, so I had to painfully rip fur off of my face. Not fun. But the costume was rad either way. From then on almost all of my costumes were horror related – vampire, undead princess, dead prom queen and so on.
So many costumes! And lots of candy, lots and lots. I remember doing what every kid does after trick or treating – trading. And I remember the candy bank we made at rich people’s houses. Oh! And then there were those houses that would scare the hell out of you before they gave up the goods. Good times.
