Nickelodeon’s Upcoming Werewolf Movie

September 24th, 2010 § 12

That’s right readers, Nickelodeon has a werewolf movie on the way and it stars newest teen sensation Victoria Justice.

In the upcoming TV movie, The Boy Who Cried Werewolf, Victoria plays Jordan Sands, an unpopular teen who accidentally becomes a werewolf after a trip to Romania. Unfortunately, you guys have to wait a month before watching the flick since it doesn’t premiere until October 22, 2010. Good news is that Victoria dished a little on The Boy Who Cried Werewolf:

“I got to do most of the prosthetic work and the transformation [into a werewolf] was all me,” Justice said, adding that she had to spend three long hours in the makeup chair to get the werewolf prosthetics glued onto her face. “The cool thing about it is that I don’t look pretty at all, I look disgusting — like a beast.

“There’s a werewolf suit that somebody [else] had to operate,” she admitted. “I’m 105 pounds, so there’s no way I could’ve worn it. I would’ve passed out from heat stroke.”

Yeah, that’s all the news on this upcoming movie. Lame.

Fans of older werewolf movies may recognize the title of the movie – The Boy Who Cried Werewolf. There was a movie in 1973 with the same exact title. But from the sound of it, this new Nick movie is nothing like the 70s flick which was about a boy who visits his father in a secluded cabin. The father is then attacked by a werewolf and becomes a werewolf himself. The boy constantly tries to tell others, but of course, nobody will believe him. Yup, two totally different films.

So what do you guys think of the upcoming movie? Are you excited to see Victoria Justice in a new kind of role? Or do you think she should stick to the singer roles? Let us know in a comment below.

  4. Charlie says:

knowing nick, it would probably be a watered down flick. But it couldn’t do anymore damage to werewolves than twilight though :^p
who knows, it might actually be good :)

  5. Raina says:

  8. Gino Angelone says:

I finished watching it this morning and I have to say I love it. I hope this will be a movie Nick puts on DVD as my cousin likes it.

  9. Silver Fox says:

I watched this yesterday on the 31st. It wasn’t bad for a Children/Early Teen’s T.V. Movie… it gets hokey places, which is well the whole werewolf form. But the werewolf custuming is far better then other shows I’ve seen or on par.

One cheese moment where the main vampire villian could have killed the hero but doesn’t.

It does do something for a werewolf movie you don’t often see that breaks the formula of bitten by werewolf, change into werewolf, go out on a killing spree and then put down or killed.

If it comes to DVD, I’ll pick it up.
