Oh yes lycan fans, it’s true, there is actually an Underworld anime on the way! Yay! There have been rumors of an anime for a long while now, but we have actual confirmation that the anime is real and it’s coming soon.

A Blu-ray box set titled Underworld Trilogy: The Essential Collection is being released December 13, 2011 and in this collection are the first installments of the saga – Underworld: Extended Cut, Underworld: Evolution, and Underworld: Rise of the Lycans – in addition, there are also two tickets included to see the fourth film of the series, Underworld: Awakening, in theaters when it arrives at the box office starting January 20, 12. Now for the anime part! Along with all of those other goodies, the box set  also has an exclusive never-before-seen three-part anime series titled Underworld: Endless War. According to IGN, “the anime series complements the live-action iteration by incorporating the themes of the story and spotlights the characters that we know and love, making it a must-see for fans of the films.”

I want it! I can’t wait to check this out. But unfortunately, the anime is only available in this Blu-ray pack, and I don’t have a Blu-ray player. But if I did, I would totally pick this up.
